#1. What Is Minecraft Vault Block
Vault Block is a new Minecraft block introduced in January 2024. Minecraft players can use the Trial Key to open this block to loot many valuable rewards from it. This is a see-through block with dark color and a spooky face on the front side. There are some orange dots around this block.
You can only find Minecraft Vault Block in the Trial Chamber, especially in the chamber with the trial spawner block. Vault occasionally spawns in a safe room without hostile mobs. Sometimes, you cannot find any vault block in the room with a trial spawner, but this situation rarely happens.
#2. How To Unlock Minecraft Vault Block
When you find Vault Blocks in Minecraft, you can use a pickaxe to break it and unveil supplies. But it will take longer time than using the trial key to unlock it. Therefore, you must find these keys by completing trial spawner challenges, looting chests, or breaking decorative pots in the Trial Chamber. Therefore, you shouldn't ignore any chest and decorative pot while exploring this chamber.
When you successfully unlock the Vault Block, the mouth on the front side will close to eject items for players. Then, you can pick these rewards to use. After this block is looted, it won't be lit anymore. Orange spots lit by the flame inside the block will disappear.

Vault Block is a type of loot block in Minecraft 1.21 that is exclusive to the Trial Chamber. It includes a lot of attractive rewards, encouraging players to explore Trial Chamber for high-tier supplies. You can loot each vault block once. These supplies won't be regenerated, but Trial Chambers are still worth exploring due to these valuable supplies.
Here are random rewards you can loot from Vault Blocks in Minecraft:
- Enchanted book;
- Emeralds and Diamonds;
- Damaged shield;
- Enchanted iron weapons and armor set for characters, including axe, pickaxe, shovel, chest plate, helmet, boots, and leggings;
- Iron, Diamond, or Golden horse armor and Saddle;
- Enchanted items, such as crossbows, golden apples, diamond axes, and chest plates.
The spawn rates of these rewards are different. They are also dropped randomly. Sometimes, you can loot them without challenges. However, some blocks can be guarded by hostile mobs, such as the Breeze. You have to defeat these mobs to unlock Minecraft Vault Blocks and loot high-tier items.
